CELEBRATE WITH US THIS CHRISTMAS
Welcome to St Paul’s and St Faith’s, churches together for Brentford. We want to love and follow Jesus, and build our local community where everyone’s welcome, everyone matters, and everyone’s involved.
We have three Sunday services at St Paul’s:
- An 8.30am said service of Holy Communion
- A 10.30am family service with Sunday school groups, creche and refreshments. Communion will be fortnightly. This service is also live streamed.
- A 6.30pm informal evening service with worship, a talk and an opportunity for prayer (Sept to July)
We also have a mid-week Communion service on Wednesdays at 10am.
We’ve got loads of events and services planned for advent and Christmas so there are plenty of ways for us to celebrate together. Please note that services at St Faith’s have been paused, so all services are at St Paul’s.
Remembering Loved Ones, 6.30pm – 7.30pm at St Paul’s
A quiet, reflective service hosted by Lodge Brothers funeral Directors to help us remember loved ones we’ve lost. This is held during Grief Awareness week in recognition that Christmas can be a difficult time of year for those who are grieving those they’ve lost. You’re invited to stay for festive refreshments after the service.
Carols in The Butts, 6.30pm at The Butts TW8 8BJ
Gather at the ’top’ end of The Butts (where you can walk through to the high street), by the Christmas tree for about forty minutes of carol singing, readings, poems and prayers. You don’t need to be a local resident to come along. This will definitely get you in the mood for Christmas!
Experience Christmas, 10am to 1pm at St Paul’s
If you’ve got primary aged children then drop in to St Paul’s Church to experience Christmas with us – we’ve got a bouncy castle, crafts, face painting, and drama workshops.
Jump in Nativity! 10.30am at St Paul’s
Come along and enjoy our all-age nativity service. All children are welcome to come dressed up as either a Mary, Joseph, donkey, sheep, cow (or any other animal that may want to be in our stable), Innkeeper, Angel and/or Gabriel, Shepherd, Star, King or Queen and a Herod. We’re going for minimum rehearsing and maximum fun!
Traditional Carols by Candlelight, 6.30pm at St Paul’s
Join us at St Paul’s for our candlelit service, with a choir singing carols and songs, and a mixture of poems and Bible readings with a short address. This service is always so beautiful and atmospheric and offers a welcome moment of peace during the busy run up to Christmas. It’ll be finished by 8.30pm, and will be followed by refreshments. All are very welcome.
