Being part of a home group where you gather to pray and learn more about your faith is a great way to grow and be part of your church family. Here are the groups we are running at the moment.

Bible Study Group

We’re launching a new online Bible study this term on Mondays from 8-9pm via Zoom, looking at the book of Acts.

We’ll be meeting for an hour every Monday to work our way through these first 12 chapters of Acts, finding out what happened next, after Jesus rose from the dead. Sarah and Tipi will host the meeting each week, but we’re excited to be inviting different people to lead the study each week. We’ll open each week with some ice breakers and social catch up, get straight to the Bible study and then have a time of sharing and prayer at the end, hopefully all by 9pm!

This group is mainly for people who have done Alpha and want to keep learning, are new Christians, still exploring faith or would really benefit from an online group, because they’re not local or due to childcare.

Here are the dates:

  • 19th April – Acts 1
  • 26th April – Acts 2
  • 3rd May – Bank Holiday (No Meeting)
  • 10th May – Acts 3
  • 17th May – Acts 4

Sheila’s Small Group
Our group is small and relaxed. We meet fortnightly at Sheila’s house and start the evening with a meal, followed by discussion, with the Bible as a focus. We have looked at the story of Mary Magdalene, the travels of St Paul, using maps to help us, and now are looking at the Acts of the Apostles, as they spread the word of Jesus. We end the evening with prayer. Currently we use “zoom” for our meetings, and try to follow the same format.

Women’s group
We meet on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm for a time of sharing, Bible reading, study and discussion. Currently we’re meeting on zoom each week.
