Being part of a home group where you gather to pray and learn more about your faith is a great way to grow and be part of your church family. Here are the groups we are running at the moment.
Bible Study Group
We’re launching a new online Bible study this term on Mondays from 8-9pm via Zoom, looking at the book of Acts.
We’ll be meeting for an hour every Monday to work our way through these first 12 chapters of Acts, finding out what happened next, after Jesus rose from the dead. Sarah and Tipi will host the meeting each week, but we’re excited to be inviting different people to lead the study each week. We’ll open each week with some ice breakers and social catch up, get straight to the Bible study and then have a time of sharing and prayer at the end, hopefully all by 9pm!
Sheila’s Small Group
Sheila’s group is small and relaxed. We meet fortnightly and currently use “zoom” for our meetings. As it is a small group we are prepared to adapt to changes of date. The evening starts with a Meal of Remembering, followed by discussion, with the Bible as a focus. At the moment we are using the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes, both because of its very beautiful poetic language and its philosophical outlook. We end the evening with prayer. Please feel free to contact Sheila for more information.
We meet every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm until 9pm, and it’s a great opportunity to get together for a time of sharing, Bible reading, study, discussion and prayer.
In the past we’ve completed various Bible studies which include Mark and Philippians. We’ve also studied Christian books including “Whats so amazing about Grace?” and “The Shack” which included a short YouTube video and then discussion time.
