Here in the Parish of Brentford we’re committed to minimising the ecological impact of our church buildings. We’ve put together a group to join A Rocha UK’s Eco Church Award Scheme in the hope that we can do everything possible to help protect God’s world.

Eco Church Events 2022

Saturday 14th May & Saturday 18th June 10am – 1pm

Children’s Garden and Bug Hotel Workshop

Join us for a couple of hours for some outdoorsy work with hot drink refreshments provided by Spire Café! We will be constructing some raised beds to use with our children’s groups as well as making, decorating and installing bug hotels. Adult volunteers as well as families welcome.

Saturday 9th July 12 – 2pm

Clothes Swap

We will be getting creative and encouraging others to give their wardrobe a new lease of life whilst also doing something amazing for the planet by reusing preloved clothes! We will invite participants to bring along a few quality items of clothing or accessories and exchange for different items. Volunteers needed to sort the items and manage the swap stall. All welcome to bring and swap!

Saturday 8th October 10am – 1pm

Green Fair

This Autumn, we will host the inaugural Brentford Green Fair. This will bring together different community groups to network, showcase and share different ways to live greener lives. Volunteers to support the event will be needed. All welcome to come, learn, network and see what opportunities there are to do things differently for the benefit of the environment around us.

Sunday 9th October

Eco Church Hosting Harvest Sunday

Leading on from our Green Fair the previous day, this service will be an opportunity to remember why creation care is an integral part of our Christian faith and to reflect on our role in stewarding the earth’s resources.
